About Echo
Echo is an ideal parrot for experienced owners. He loves to talk, loves to sing and loves to whistle. He sings along to the radio and makes up his own songs. And he’s a good conversationalist!
He gets along with adult humans and even bird friendly cats and dogs. In fact, he loooooves his current dog pal so much he spends most of his time with him, and even feeds him like he’s a baby bird!! Speaking of feeding, Echo's favourite foods are sunflower seeds, fruit and veggies.
Echo sleeps in a covered cage at night, and during the day has free range of the house. He enjoys sitting on your head or shoulder while you go about your day. He also enjoys hanging out and chatting while you have a shower! Once you're both showered and ready for the day, if you feel like getting out and about, Echo has also been trained to go for walks wearing a harness.
While Echo is sociable, he doesn’t like to be patted and can tend to scream and attack your hands and feet if you get too close to him. He would need to be carefully supervised around children for this reason. Eclectus Parrots are incredible birds and Echo would love a home with humans that have previous experience with his breed.
If you are looking for a chatty housemate and dog sitter, Echo is your guy.
Medical notes
Echo is a happy and healthy Eclectus Parrot!
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
