About Django
Introducing Django, our very handsome 12-week-old mastiff cross. He is a friendly and happy pup who already weighs 11 kilos so if you like big dogs, he may be the boy for you. Django is a very loving boy and will make a faithful and loyal companion.
He loves all the dogs he has met so far including the elderly and sometimes grumpy golden retriever in his foster home. Django is also in foster care with his three sisters who he loves to rough and tumble with. We would love to find Django a home with a friendly doggy sister to play with, keep company and to learn from.
Django loves to be with his family and isn’t suitable for a home where he will be kept outside alone for long periods of time. He wants to be included, taken on outings and be a part of his special someone’s life. Ideally his owner(s) will have experience with large breed dogs.
Like all puppies Django needs socialisation and exposure to many different people, sights, sounds, and experiences to ensure he continues to grow into a well-adjusted and sociable companion. Django still has so much to learn about the world and life and will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Django is not suitable to a home with cats as he likes to chase them and due to this, he isn’t suitable to a home with pocket pets that free range either.
As he will be a very big boy Django is best suited to a home with children over 10 who are experienced with big dogs. This is only because he may accidentally knock over a small child through play.
Please only apply for Django if you are fully committed to loving and caring for him for his whole life.

Django is located in Bendigo and has been: Vet Checked, Desexed, Vaccinated, Microchipped 956000012847712 and Flea & Wormed treated. Source Number: RE161465. His adoption fee is $850
Before applying we ask that you are aware of the following:
** Ollie's Legacy is located in Bendigo, Central Victoria (approx 1.5 hours from Melbourne CBD)
** We are unable to place holds on our animals. This means that you are unable to adopt your new family member within 7 days, please do not apply until you are ready.
Medical notes
Django was rescued from a rural pound and as such we know very little about his background prior to arriving in our care. We were told his mother was a mastiff cross but unsure about his Dad. We are awaiting results on a DNA test to identify what breeds he is mixed with and these will be disclosed to his owners.
Adoption details
Many of our animals are extremely popular and we receive a high volume of applications. We review each submission carefully and will only consider those who complete the application form in full. We are run by a very small team of volunteers and it is impossible to phone everyone. The majority of correspondence will be conducted via email. Please keep an eye on your “junk’ folder so you don’t miss any notifications. We ask that the application is completed with as much detail as possible.
If your application is successful, you will be asked to attend a Meet and Greet.
