About Luna
Hi, I'm Luna, and I am part of GPAWS' Assisted Rehoming Program.
My sister and I came from a breeder - though, not a good one, and formal complaints were lodged by the adopters. She had a difficult start in life along with her siblings with their stomachs and both had bacteria and prolapse before 10 weeks which made them very sick. They tried many foods, and this is the combination that seems to work (Hills Science Diet - Maxi Puppy dry food 2 x scoops. Prime 100 loaf 200g each per day). Warm water is added to the meat, and it gets mashed slightly and poured over their biscuits to make the biscuits taste more like the meat. If they have just dry food they will happily go days without eating.
Luna has completed basic puppy obedience school with Redefine Canine and she is well behaved for her age. Though Luna prefers to play than learn. She is an inside/outside dog and fully housetrained. She currently has a daily walk of approx 30 mins and LOVES to swim in the pool or the river/beach. She also rides on the back of the ute fine. Luna is happy to bath and wash too
Unfortunately Luna has a fascination with chickens which began more of a curiosity and herding behavour and later scalated to hunting/eating them. She chases cattle and horses also and although mostly good with the cats, chases them too.
Luna isn't a fan of lawn mowers, but has no reaction to fireworks or thunder. She is obsessed with bubbles and chasing them. She hasn't really been exposed to younger children but are fine with older children. She can be boisterous but doesnt jump up much. She walks well on a lead, sits when told for meal time, and lays on command. She loves chew toys and has been used to sleeping indoors at night.
The adopters have spoilt her and she will come with a large amount of stuff if the new home would like - including beds (inside and outside), a custom made feeding bowl, lots of toys, collars, walking gear, food bins, brushes, shampoo and treats.-
