Hawaiian

Hawaiian is a confident puppy who loves to run and play, and she loves to think she is the boss. She has picked up on routine very quickly and loves to talk back. Hawaiian has shown no mouthy behaviours.
Food
Hawaiian is currently eating three meals a day of premium dry food. Hawaiian will sit when asked and wait for her dinner. Hawaiian has shown no sign of food aggression and will gently take food from your hand. For training I have been using boiled chicken cut into small pieces,
Hawaiian is a kelpie x currently weighing around 6 kilos so we feel she will be a med at full growth

Traveling in the Car
Hawaiian loves going for car rides and has been going for multiple care trips every week. She sits on the back seat and is clipped in. As Hawaiian is a puppy I would encourage her new family to continue taking him out for car trips and always using the proper restraints.
Visitors
Hawaiian is always up for meeting new people. She is always super excited to meet new people.
Enrichment
Hawaiian loves to run and run fast, zoomies is her favourite thing and being chased. Hawaiian also loves toys and noisy toys are her favourite. Hawaiian has also been digging in the sandpit.
Walks-Lead Experience
Hawaiian has been practising walking on a lead in the front yard and is not fussed by the lead at all. She loves exploring the front and watching other dogs and people walk past. Hawaiian will need to have further lead training and it will be important that her family continue walking her everyday.
Obedience
Hawaiian will sit and drop when asked. Hawaiian will need to attend puppy school to further her training and for socialisation.
Inside
Hawaiian is great inside and has not been chewing on things that she shouldn't. Hawaiian knows how to use a doggy door and will use it to go in and out when she pleases. Hawaiian is a typical puppy who will explore and run around even when inside, she will get under your feet while you walk as she wants to know what you are doing.
Dog socialisation, cats and other small animals
Hawaiian is currently living in a house with 3 siblings and 4 other dogs . These dogs are all different breeds, ages, and heights. Hawaiian has no issues playing with all the dogs.
As Hawaiian is a puppy she will be fine in a home with a cat, however your cat must be puppy savvy.
Sleeping
Hawaiian has been sleeping in her crate with the door open with her siblings . Hawaiian is a great sleeper and sleeps through until morning. Hawaiian tends to go to bed at 9pm and not wake up until 8am.
Toilet Training
Hawaiian has not had any accidents inside lately but in a new home we would expect her to have a few accidents until she is comfortable with her surroundings . I would suggest taking her outside after she wakes up and also after eating.
Adoption Requirements for Hawaiian
- Large area or acreage with grass for her to run and play on, secure fences and shelter is a must
- Ongoing puppy school to help further her training and for socialisation
- Daily walks are a must (shorts walks while she is still a puppy)
-If you have a dog they must be male. The current resident dog must be of a temperament that can adapt to puppy development, and he must be well socialised with other dogs (do not apply if your dog has not been socialised recently)
-New family must understand that puppies take time to settle and all things puppy, including crying, chewing and training is a must.)
- Hawaiian must be able to sleep inside
- you must be willing to socialise Hawaiian with other dogs for her lifespan
