About Albie
Looking for company? do you love being at home?
Well Mr Albie is the man for you!
Albie is approx 1 year old Irish wolfhound, desexed and microchipped.
Albie loves being with people, great with children and currently has a foster sister dog that he loves playing with. He has a beautiful nature and will follow you wherever you go, and as much as he loves his walks, he just as much loves to cuddle on the couch.
Albie does need someone who can spend time with him all the time, and currently spends day and night inside, he is currently crate trained and uses that as his safe space when needed but sleeps in his bed separately at night.
The crate has helped with his separation anxiety and he is getting getting better being away from his humans for short periods of time, he travels well in the car too, and is toilet trained, will let you know when he needs to go!
Albie knows all of the basic commands, sit, stay, shake, stop, lay down etc he is highly intelligent and doesn’t take long at all to learn new things. Great on the lead as well.
Albie can get over excited when playing with dogs, he is still learning his manners but is very playful with lots of energy, he just forgets sometimes how big he is.
He does need a home with high secure fences as he has been known to jump a 6 foot fence, but only because he was new to another foster home and was by himself for a few minutes, once he is settled in he won’t go far from where you are at all.
What does Albie offer to his potential owner? He is one of those dogs that loves people, always happy and eager to please, bonds strongly with his people. A joyful, positive companion.
What does Albie need from his potential owner? A loving owner who will be around a lot, someone who can take him for his walks, someone to consistently provide a routine for him and be a calm influence when he’s initially excited with meeting others. Albie has been a very patient boy waiting for his forever owner. Is that you? Please fill out the application form if you think so!
