About Gerard - Located in Preston
Gerard is a lovely boy who who is looking for his furrever home.
He loves a brush while sitting next to you on the couch, it is his favourite time of day...except for dinner time. Gerard also loves a pat and will let you know when he has had enough. Gerard would like a home where he can lounge around all day with his people. Gerard is FIV+ so would need to be a single cat or with another FIV+ cat . Gerard would best suit a person/family experienced with owning a cat.

Medical notes
FIV+ cats live a normal life for many years and we cannot predict the life span of these cats. FIV positive cats sometimes have a scruffy coat and the condition can lead to chronic recurrent infections in the mouth, eye and skin. FIV cannot infect people, however it can infect other cats through bite wounds commonly from fights. FIV positive cats can co-exist with other cats that don't have FIV without issues.
We encourage that the cat is either an indoor cat or a confined cat - eg access to a cat run outdoors. We recommend regular vet visits (6 monthly) to monitor weight, coat changes, mouth etc.
