About Smeogol
Smeogol came into Waggin Tails care after being surrendered to a pound with several of his family members. It is suspected that several of them were unfortunately inbred.
Smeogol is a special little man, who is on the look out for a dedicated family as he does have a few issues.
He is super playful and really loves to play with his toys. Smeogol is also a huge lover of food! One of his favourite things is a good scratch up and down on his forehead and nose!
Smeogol has been in foster care with dogs before, and can take a moment to warm up to them but quickly tries to snuggle up against them.
Ideally Smeogol would love a home where he can have access to an outdoor enclosure to have even more fun in a safe manner.
His favourite toys are a stick and a ball that he loves to carry around everywhere in the house.
Ideally Smeogol would suit a home with children above 8 years old and perhaps a cat friend with a similar personality and age!
Smeogol would benefit from a home that has another similar aged cat or cats that wouldn't mind rough playing or to keep up with Smeogol's high levels of energy!
Medical notes
- He has been diagnosed with ADHD. He does show several symptoms of this.
- Due to his ADHD diagnosis, it does cause his brain to be unable to function properly, and whilst he is playing, his brain does not send through the correct messages. As a result of this, because those messages from his brain are not going through properly, he doesn't understand that he needs to temporarily stop playing to go to the litterbox, and ends up going whilst he is playing. This seems to happen every few days and he does use his litter box correctly for a few days.
- His feet can be quite sensitive, and it's been noticed that Breeders Choice or Sand based litter do not irritate them as much.
