PROFILE AND NEEDS IN A HOME
Star Magic (Magic for short) is a gorgeous and very special four/five-month-old Bull Terrier mix. This beautiful girl is so warm and loving, and literally stops people in their tracks when they see her! She loves meeting new people and dogs and is just about the cuddliest puppy you’ve ever met.
Magic recently attended an open day at a Pet Store and was an absolute star interacting nicely with people, children, and other doggos. Magic was very drawn to children so would suit a family with children over 8 years of age provided they were kind and gentle with animals and the family had time to continue her training and socialisation.
This beautiful girl loves every person she meets and wants nothing more than to snuggle up to the warmest human on the couch.
Magic’s new owner must be active, have the time to exercise her regularly (at least twice a day), and take her on regular outings as she loves getting out and about exploring her surroundings, meeting new people, provide her with daily mental stimulation, socialisation, and new experiences whilst not overwhelming her.
She is a very smart pup and is learning new commands and tricks every day. She’s food and cuddle-motivated, and loves being rewarded for her good behaviour.
Ideally Magic needs to go to a home with another young, well-adjusted, confident, and playful dog that will interact with her and is also able to let her know when they have had enough play as this is an important lesson for any young pups to learn. Ideally aged between 2 and approximately 6 years
We are however open to a home without another dog provided you are not away from home for more than 4 hours a day, have other dogs amongst friends and family, and can ensure Magic gets lots of daily exercise, and socialistion with other dogs, and you are committed and have the time to continue her training. We are looking for an owner that is looking for a pup to be truly part of their lifestyle by taking Magic out and about with them where possible and not just left at home in the backyard
Magic has lived in a foster home with a cat so would be ok with cats depending on the cat
Magic is toilet trained in her current environment, however, her new owner must understand that their home is a new environment and set her up to succeed with this in the new environment.
Magic must be permitted inside at all times and sleep inside in a warm area of the home at night and be allowed to cuddle on the couch with you and will ideally need access to a secure garden
Magic is making excellent progress with the other puppy milestones!
Like most pups, she can sometimes get overexcited in play and needs a consistent force-free approach to continue to show her how to be considerate of the other dogs that she meets. Her carers have been working on this with her and she is doing really well and is getting much better each day as she is food motivated and so eager to please you. Her new owners will have to understand that they will need to continue this training over the coming months. Magic's carer can give you some guidance if needed.
She’ll make a loving, loyal, and playful addition to any family that she joins provided you are committed to helping Magic continue to grow and develop into the great doggy that we know that she can be and want a dog that is truly part of the family.
If you would like to meet the beautiful Magic send us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your other pets if any, family members, lifestyle, training, socialistion and exercise you are able to provide Magic, how often Magic would be alone, where she will have access in the home and where she would sleep of a night, where Magic would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
Medical notes
Magic will be a medium-sized dog so is too young to be desexed as yet. She will be desexed when she is around 6/7 months old and the cost of this procedure is included in her adoption fee. Magic will need to be returned to our rescue vet Beverly Hills Animal Hospital in Sydney for this procedure.
Magic has had two vaccinations and will be due for her next and final booster vaccination at the end of this month. The cost of this vaccination is included in the adoption fee
As Magic is very fair it is important that she not be an outside dog and her new owners understand that they will need to manage her exposure to sun and that Magic will need sunscreen applied daily to exposed areas such as her nose, ears and stomach particularly when out and about so that she is a sunsmart doggo.🌞
