Maizey, beautiful, intelligent, loving and spritely

Maizey continues to show that her ability to learn and problem solve just as proficiently as her ability to cuddle you to death. She absolutely adores human contact, peanut butter, interactive play and learning new tricks.

Maizey is a calm and protective dog in the home throughout the day and night whilst her humans are working from home or relaxing. Maizey acts as if she is a puppy when it's time to play or go on an adventure, full of vigor and excitement. She is an excellent companion on hikes and anywhere off the beaten track and loves being in the car. Maizey is fully toilet trained, is thriving in obedience training, and sleeps happily on her bed through the night.

Maizey, unfortunately, suffers from heavy separation anxiety, remedied by medication and secure containment when left alone in the house due to her uncanny ability to escape in search of her loved ones. Although she has lived alongside medium sized dogs in the past, Maizey can be reactive with unknown dogs often with growls and bouncing which can be controlled using the BAT protocol, which we can teach you. The love Maizey receives is reciprocated 10 fold, she just needs a nudge in the right direction and a little patience outside of the home.

Maizey has lived with cats and kids of all ages.

Ideally, she would suit a family with someone home, with a large backyard with high fences and a large secure dog run (or large crate) for her to be kept in if needed if she is to be left home.

Maizey is a fantastic exercise companion, suited to dog free areas to stretch her athletic legs without distraction.

Any new person she meets is greeted with an excited bark or 2, then a few minutes later she will be your new best bud cuddling up for attention.

Maizey is an extremely loving dog who deserves a family willing to put in the energy to help her be the best dog she can be.
