About Sir Bowington
This handsome little man has been with us for a while so we thought it best to let his foster carer tell you about him!
Presenting Your Royal Highness, Sir Bowington... (aka Bowie)
Bowie is looking for a home without young children and as the only dog. He wants to rule his kingdom alone thank you very much.
Bowie is a lover of independence and doggo comforts. He can be seen leisurely lounging on his throne during the day for the most part, watching his humans tend to the house around him, or enjoying a bit of fresh air and sun in his yard.
If you venture to the garden Bowie loves to potter with you outside, and perhaps have a short game of fetch or rope tug o' war, followed by some royal pats.
Bowie thoroughly enjoys a brush and will sit in the doggo bath for his human to pamper him. While Bowie does enjoy outside time, he much refers indoors and would love access to both, especially when you are away.
If Bowie is left outside longer than he pleases, he will attempt to break in and enter if a door is unlocked (he can slide them open even of they are closed and will scratch doors to execute his plan). If left inside, he is happy to await your return on his bed.
Bowie is perfectly house trained, sits and waits for yum yums, and likes to stay at ground level or just a regal touch above (his little legs don't allow much of a jump).
Bowie enjoys short walks to catch up on the town news and adventure in new areas. One-on-one chats with other doggos is nice, but too many can be overwhelming and too exciting, causing Bowie to be reactive toward other dogs.
Meeting new people is always desirable and he will sometimes voice his desire for attention along with a wag of his tail. Bowie is a social man in small bursts.
It's a lowkey, leisurely life for Bowie in his Kingdom. He will offer you loving eye gazing, regular cuddles, walking company, and overall chill companionship.
Please note: Bowie has undergone orthopedic hip surgery while in care with us and is still recovering and receiving physio therapy as well as joint supplements and synovan injections.
