NOTE: You are unable to meet Iris unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Iris in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs can make me reactive.
• Happy to be an only dog
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Children under 12 as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidentally scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• No cats, pocket pets or poultry as I find them fun to chase.
• NO SMALL DOGS

My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I can sit and shake
• Happy to socialise when out and about
• Walk well on lead once initial excitement is out

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• Regular socialisation with animals and people needed
