Hi, my name is Suzie. I came to NQAR when my owner became too ill to care for me. Since I have settled in, I have shown my carers what fun smoochy dog I am.
My favourite things to do are help my humans hang the washing, do the gardening or go for a walk. I also love hanging with my foster Dad while he works in the shed. I love a car ride, especially when my foster carer puts the window down enough for me to get all the sniffs!
I walk well on a halti and I am learning to be calm when taken to a new place to visit. I can get a bit nervous around big crowds so my humans like to take me to places that aren't too busy for me. I can also getting a little excited/reactive when I meet new dogs, but once I get to know them I get along with most, although I can try to be the boss at times!
I know how to come to my name, sit and drop and would benefit from someone who can continue my basic training and keep me mentally and physically stimulated. Clear boundaries and consistent rules help me to feel safe.
I ADORE spending time with my humans, but I am happy to wait patiently for their return if they leave. Having furry foster brothers has helped me with this as I can see they are patiently waiting also. I really like to play and explore the yard with them while the humans are busy.
I would love to meet you so we can be the very best of friends!
