About Hansel
MEET HANSEL!
Approximately 2 years young, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated x2.
Hansel is a gorgeous, big friendly marbled Tabby. He can initially be timid but quickly settles in to become the smoochiest boy in the home! Hansel isn't overly keen on being picked up for cuddles but loves pats along his back, scratches behind his ears and under his neck, He sleeps on the bed and likes to snuggle under the doona, he will happily come and jump into your lap on his own terms. Hansel comes racing when called and makes a cute squeaky meow to get attention.
He likes to climb up scratch posts and play with fluffy toys, so lots of stimulating toys is a must!
Hansel can be skittish with loud noises and quick little kids so would be best suited to a quieter household with older kids/adults only.
Hansel is an INDOOR ONLY cat for life, he can also be quite naughty with the door and is capable of squeezing out between your legs in a moments notice, so a quick, aware owner is a must.
He would benefit from an outdoor enclosure due to his adventurous nature however a larger home with lots of toys & a kitty play mate would also be fine.
Hansel has been in foster care a little while and would love to find his forever home!
Medical notes
Would recommend Hansel be fed a premium quality cat diet including a dental dry food. He currently is fed Hills Science Oral Care, Royal Canin Calm and various premium wet foods or tuna/salmon in springwater.
Up to date with vaccination, flea and worming preventatives.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
