Duke (Was Potato Cake)

Hi, I'm the beautiful Potato Cake! It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a little shy at first but once I'm confident I will give you endless love.

I really love my people very much, so I would prefer an active household to keep me busy with someone that might like to be at home with me or can take me with
them to wear me out.

I'm a boisterous boy who has a lot to learn but so much love to give. I love other animals and am learning to approach them with good manners. I would do best with another sociable and energetic dog to help me feel better. I also have a tendency to round up everyone as the true Kelpie I am.

I'm not good with my lead yet so I'll need someone who is committed to taking me to puppy school so I can work through this. I have already mastered sit and fetch though. I'm very active and get distracted easy and because I'm still so little I have a lot to learn.

I love to play tug and I love any sort of treat dispensing toys, they keep me busy so I don't get distracted. As I'm a bouncy boy, a home with older children would be best as I will get bigger very quick.

I would love a house with a huge backyard and somewhere to run when I get in that playful mood! I'm very fast and love to chase you around the house.

I can be a bit of a shadow and get super excited to help with anything you are doing especially sleeping.

As a working dog, Potato Cake will need an experienced and dedicated family who will continue his on-going training using reward based training methods. His adoption fee will include a 5 week course of Puppy school with us at SCAR.
