About Mason
Introducing the lovable boofhead Mason. He is a Lab x Kelpie born 23rd August 2021.
Mason is a sweet young man who loves nothing more than spending time with people. He can get a bit boisterous and jumpy at times, so a home with older children would be beneficial for him so he can’t accidentally knock little ones over.
Mason was slightly timid when being introduced to other large dogs. Once given the chance to settle, he was very gentle and seemed unfazed by the small dog jumping on him.
Mason seemed towards our cats and rooster through a barrier. If you have a resident cat or pocket pets at home we would recommend a slow and controlled introduction to ensure the safety of all animals.
Mason can be quite timid when meeting new people, although it doesn't take him too long to settle and show his true puppy behaviour. We believe that in a comfortable and loving home, he will settle, however there may be the potential for some mild anxiety when he is left at home alone for long periods of time.
We've noticed that Mason can jump quite high so he will need at least 6ft, secure fencing.
From what we've noticed it doesn't appear that he has had much training, so he will need a patient owner willing to put in some time teaching him even the basics like sit and stay.
Mason is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Mason, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Mason’s adoption fee is $450, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Mason is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Mason is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
