On Trial | Diesel ~ 5yr Old Kelp(On Trial 3/10/22)

If you're looking for a fella who is sweet, kind, funny, and handsome to sweep you off your feet, then baby, you've just hit the jackpot. Introducing Diesel, a dashing 5-year-old Kelpie X with a smile as big as his heart. This pretty boy came into foster care through no fault of his own, and he's searching for the perfect home where he can live out the rest of his doggy days. Could YOU be the one for him???

Do not let Diesel's cool appearance and even cooler name fool you - he's a sucker for a cuddle above all else and he is at his happiest snuggling on the couch, the bed, or the floor (he is NOT picky). He will want to follow you everywhere, and we mean EVERYWHERE. The pub, the bedroom, the bathroom...You'll never be alone.

Of course, being mostly kelpie, he also has plenty of energy to burn; but luckily, he ADORES toys and can be worn out with 15-20 minutes of solid fetch. He loves his toys so much that he will basically ignore all other dogs at the park just to focus on his games, though he does like to give other doggies a good sniff every now and then. He shows no resource guarding at all with his toys and is happy to share a game of fetch.

Speaking of other dogs: Diesel loves the ladies, and basically all smaller dogs. However, he sometimes can be a bit anxious when on the lead. Somebody who understands leash reactivity would be very valuable for him.

The boy would appreciate a home that is committed to loving on him and tiring him out in equal measure, as well as somewhere he is not left alone too often. He has not shown any destructive behaviour in foster care, but he does sometimes bark and whine if he is left by himself. This behaviour can be lessened through consistent training, exercise, and mental stimulation. A tired man is a well-behaved man, after all!

Oh, we almost forgot to mention; Diesel absolutely ADORES kids of all ages. Toddlers, tweens, and teens, Diesel will love them all. He can be a little jumpy when overexcited so supervision will be required just in case, he gets too kissy.

Overall, we think Diesel is an absolute charmer who will turn heads and capture hearts wherever he goes. He really is a wonderful dog, and he deserves to live a wonderful life with wonderful people. You will not regret giving this boy a chance.

Diesel is located in the Sydney Region NSW, and is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $450 which includes all up to date vet work. He is already de-sexed, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and microchipped.
