About Brax
Calling all silky noodle lovers!
I’m Brax, a joyful, bouncy and enthusiastic comedian who’s looking for my people! I’m a not your average snoozy greyhound, and I’ll zoom straight into your heart! My foster fam says I am playful, curious and a bundle of fun and games, so I need an active forever home with some space to play, who can take me walking twice a day.
I’ve enjoyed having a greyhound foster sibling who’s helped to show me the ropes and build my confidence, but I’ve not had much experience with other breeds of dog and they make me jumpy and scared- you’ll need to work with me on this when we are out walking. I just don't understand other dogs aren't scary and with time, I'll get it! I love hanging with teenagers but I would be too much for small kiddos, I don’t want to accidentally bundle them over.
I’ve got lots of love to give and I can’t do that if you’re not there! I’m keen to have you around as much as possible, so it would great if you worked from home. I’ll keep you entertained while you work by looking handsome, and I’m committed to my class clown act- I like collecting things around the house and hoarding them which makes everyone laugh!
I’m full of personality, and I’m easy to love. They tell me I’ll make the most loyal companion and if you can spare a piece of your heart for me I’ll give you all of mine.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
