About Bessy
Darling Bessy is a three year old female German Shepherd who is now looking for a new home.
This sweet young shepherd has not had a good start to her young life. Born with a birth deformity in her back leg, she has had it amputated but that doesn't stop her.
Bessy still loves to play with her fellow fur kids and holds her own with them. A loving young shepherd who would be a wonderful companion dog for a family with dog savy children or a couple who want to commit to this dear girl.
Bessy doesn’t know she has a problem with her back leg and it doesn’t stop her from joining in with all the dogs in playing and having puppy fun.
Bessy loves to walk on lead and is currently being trained by Bear the Dog Behaviourist. She is a very smart and active dog, who will need two walks a day and continued training.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.
Social with her fellow fur friends both her size and smaller but has not been tested with cats.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet her. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
