Enzo

Enzo is an affectionate, intelligent, playful, energetic and loyal boy, seeking similar humans.

Enzo loves cuddles and kisses, car rides, playing fetch and being with his humans.

He likes to pick up sticks on his walks and will carry his own lead when in a gated area. 

He is a total gentleman. He is sweet, affectionate, intelligent, loving, loves food, in fact he is VERY food motivated so that will be the way to his heart for sure! He has good manners, sleeps quietly through the night, is toilet trained and enjoys learning new tricks. 

Enzo would like a human who will spend time walking him, training him and entertaining him. He enjoys car rides (preferably with his head over the human’s shoulder) and snuggling on the couch. He also likes sleeping on the bed if you let him!

He loves to spend time outside in the garden however he needs a house where he will be invited inside to be a part of the family. After he has been taken on his walk, he is happy to lay down and chill near his humans.

Enzo learns very quickly and responds well to consistency and encouraging cues. He needs lots of love and attention and his humans will need to help him with his obedience training. 

He is very responsive to training, super intelligent and will make a great training, exercise and canine partner for a person who suits him. He is very excited when he sees other humans and dogs on his walks. He needs to be directed to carry on and distracted with chicken while he is forming trust and a solid bond with his handler. He is not a dog park dog, sometimes he just wants to tell other dogs off and keep them away from the human, so he needs careful handling around other dogs and a person who understands his introvert nature and will follow the BAT protocol of counter conditioning to help him gain confidence around scary things and see that scary can equal chicken, so that soon scary things are no longer scary, but indicators of imminent treats. He has been good with other dogs in the past, but learnt how scary they can be in the pound and hasn’t quite regained his confidence yet.

Enzo has lived with young children, however any children in the home need to be experienced around large excitable dogs. 

He is super intelligent and learns what works for him (earns him treats, attention or things that may not please the humans but benefits him), extra quickly, so he needs a human who is switched on, understands the use of positive reinforcement, and matches him in personality.

Enzo is a real sweetie. He is handsome, has good conformation, travels well in the car, is obliging and generally optimistic but has been shifted around a bit and really needs stability, committed and calm people and a predictable and safe environment. He is a lovable boof, with a broad and pattable head and soulful eyes. He has a sad story and deserves a happy ending and to have all the comfort, bones and love he desires!
