About Mieka
Ok… we admit… taking a selfie is not Mieka’s strong suit, but she’s not the first girl to hate a camera being pointed in her direction!!
What she lacks in photogenic-ness (I’m pretty sure that’s not even a word) she makes up for in total devotion…
This shy little bit is born for love and snuggling and she’s desperate to find her own person ready to adopt her as their tiny shadow!
That’s not to say that Mieka can’t spend time on her own… she does love to explore the yard and find all the super smells, but she does prefer her world fairly small… You see, she has had some trauma in her past involving other dogs so they frighten her a lot… she takes behaviour medication to help with her frightened feelings and is looking for a single dog home where she doesn’t have to worry about other dogs. She is currently living in a home with cats and while the interactions are monitored, this is going quite well, however she is not suited to a home with small animals/pocket pets.
Mieka can be a little anxious at times, so an owner that can build her a routine and be reliable and always have her back is a must.
Mieka is very much a house dog. She loves to be indoors and loves her cozy locations. She walks well on lead and is learning very well to ignore other dogs that worry her - she doesn’t need to worry about them because her people have her back!
She has some basic cues like sit and on your bed and up for being picked up.
She can be a little fussy with food, but will eat a mix of kibble and something tasty mixed in.
Mieka has had a dental recently and X-rays on her hind legs due to an odd gait, with no further treatment required.
Send us an email to organise a meet with this little treasure!
Medical notes
Mieka has had a dental, X-rays to investigate intermittent lameness (with no further action requires at this time) and takes behaviour medication for generalized anxiety and previous trauma with other dogs.
