About Buffy
Hi, Buffy here. Xander and I have been looking for a home for almost 2 months now. I had a lengthy discussion with him yesterday and decided that because we're apart most of the time now (I'm way too scared of the bully cat to come out of my room), that I'll be ok to look for a home on my own. Xander might even stay where he is, he's much happier here than I am.
I'm a purry lap cat who loves human attention. I'm happy to curl up on your lap while you're watching tv or playing video games. I'm good on my own for most of the day and love sleeping on my blankets or in my bed. I'm ok with the 4 other cats who reside at my foster home, just not with the bully. I'll be ok in a home with other relaxed cats who aren't dominant.
My dream home is one where I can be someone's companion. Somewhere I can get lots of lap time. I'm playful as well and love my toys and my cat scratcher so would like a home with lots of those as well. Another cat friend would be nice as I lived with Xander up until I came back to foster care.
My foster carers say that they're really sad that we've come to this decision but it's the best thing for me to find a home where I don't have to be cooped up in a room all day due to being scared. If someone wanted to take both me and Xander we'd still be happy with that, it just looks like no one wants us together so I decided to try to find a home of my own.
Buffy has been:
- Tried with children 7 and 13 and was a little unsure but was overall fine with them.
- Tried with cats and is fine with non-dominant cats (however will need proper introductions)
- Untried with dogs (no dogs please)

Adoption details
Kittens and cats are adopted through their foster homes. Potential adopters are encouraged to contact Hisses to Purrs by phone, email or Facebook to arrange a meet and greet with the kitten they are interested in.
All kittens and cats are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and parasite treated prior to adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Pre-adoptions are available for adopters who wish to adopt a specific kitten or cat who has not reached weight for desexing, or who are awaiting their vet appointment. A minimum deposit can be made to pre-adopt a kitten awaiting their vet work. Kittens and cats remain in the care of Hisses to Purrs until desexing has occurred and in the case of female kittens and cats, until 5 days after desexing to give them time to heal.
All kittens and cats adopted through us must be kept indoors or have access to a secure cat enclosure. This is non-negotiable for the safety and health of our kittens and cats.
