About Priscilla
MEET PRISCILLA! (Nick named Silly!)
A young adult, she is approximately 4 years young. Priscilla is a domestic medium haired tuxedo gal, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for her forever home!
Priscilla is an AMAZING kitty who has lived a traumatic life but doesn't let it stop her. Priscilla was finally surrendered to us after she had been from pillar to post, rehomed over and over and getting pregnant each time along the way. When Priscilla came to us, she came with 1 older kitten and was already pregnant again, unfortunately the 3 other kittens of the litter were killed during a dog attack that thankfully Priscilla and her kitten survived. Priscilla came to us also very sick with the flu, she has been treated with multiple rounds of antibiotics and has made a good recovery however she will occasionally sneeze and some days she may sneeze more than others! Stress is a major cause of flare ups with cat flu so we suspect that when she does find her forever home, she will have a flare up initially while she is settling in and then it'll calm down again, as such, We are looking for a special & patient home that doesn't mind our sneezy girl. She will come with a course of antibiotics to help.
Priscilla gave birth in foster care, safe and surrounded by love, she had 7 beautiful kittens that have since grown up and been adopted with only 1 remaining, her shy daughter Mango, who is also still available for adoption. Since day 1 when she came to me, Priscilla has been nothing but loving, gentle and sweet, I really think she is just grateful to be in a safe and loving environment finally! She LOVES affection and will happily curl up and sleep on your lap on the couch and cuddle up to you in bed every night. She will follow you around the house as you go about your daily duties and smooch around your legs, she will even meow for attention sometimes! Priscilla is fine with other cats as long as they are passive and friendly and give her the space she wants, when she wants it, she even willingly shared her kittens with another female cat! Priscilla does NOT like dogs however and must not go to a home with a dog (given her past trauma with a dog attack, we are not surprised!) Priscilla is totally fine with kids of all ages and even lets a very boisterous and loud 3 year old cuddle her, as long as you are giving her pats and attention, she will love you! Priscilla has beautiful medium length fur, she requires regular brushing which she happens to really enjoy luckily! Especially the glove brush.
We are looking for the very best home for Priscilla to ensure she never has to suffer or be afraid again. We are confident anyone who meets her will fall in love <3 Check out the newest video of Priscilla currently in her foster home.
*Priscilla is an INDOOR ONLY cat for life! Please only apply for her if this is suitable for your home, she does currently have access to an outdoor enclosure however she is also more than happy to just lounge around inside.
Medical notes
Priscilla is fully vet worked and given a clean bill of health. We recommend feeding her a premium brand diet such as Advance or Royal Canin to keep her in good health!
Priscilla came to us very sick with the flu, she has been treated with multiple rounds of antibiotics and has made a good recovery however the treating vets have determined she will still occasionally sneeze and some days she may sneeze more than others! Stress is a major cause of flare ups with cat flu so we suspect that when she does find her forever home, she will have a flare up initially while she is settling in and then it'll calm down again, She has even had a camera up her nose (all was good) to make sure she doesn't have any other problems and possible causes!
We are looking for a special & patient home that doesn't mind our sneezy girl. She will come with a course of antibiotics to help during the 2 week trial period. Priscilla is worth it!
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
