About Soxy
Soxy is a gorgeous slim female ginger adult cat. She's the mumma to Hanna and Ripley (previously posted) and Selene who is already adopted and absolutely adored by her loving new family.
Before we rescued her, Soxy found herself on the streets and befriended a young family that thought she was a boy (80% of ginger cats ARE male). Then she got fat (all the good food she was getting from them?!), and then... she had her babies! Omg 🙀
Shortly after that (the kids were loving the mum and kitten family) we were called to rescue her.
Soxy is good with kids and dogs. Her 3 beautiful natured, gentle kittens are testament to her own lovely nature.
She loves food and always tries to share ours! She is opportunistic like that, a sign of having lived on the streets and learnt to survive, but in a loving forever home she will learn to trust that she always has her food nearby, and will settle down to enjoy the love and affection available to her. Unfortunately in rescue, it's hard to learn that level of security with so many other cats around. Soxy would be happy to be an only cat or have only one or two cat friends.
If you would like to adopt this pretty ginger lady, please message us 😊
Medical notes
Soxy has had cat flu so a reoccurrence may occur at times of stress, or cold weather in winter. Cat flu is manageable symptomatically, and reoccurrences generally decrease as the cat gets older (not always though).
A vet can give medicines to help ease symptoms, when necessary, and yearly vaccinations can help lessen symptoms of any new strains of cat flu that are caught.
Please talk to us if you wish to know more about cat flu and how to handle it.
