About Norman ^Dandy Cat Rescue^
đ±đ± $120 adoption fee đ±đ±
Anxiety can be a challenge for anyone, but for Norman it is a condition that he has no control over. As a small kitten, Norman had a hose turned on him to force him out of a personâs yard when he was just six weeks old - and it has left him with an emotional scar that shows up as anxiety.
While Norman is largely a very calm and affectionate boy, he is easily startled and his âfight or flightâ response kicks in â and for Norman it is always the âflightâ option. Norman will run and hide when his nerves get the better of him, and heâll stay hidden until he thinks the coast is clear.
However, when Norman trusts you and understands you are not going to hurt him, this boy shows you his very sweet and affectionate side. He will lay on your lap and softly purr himself to sleep while you pat him. And he looks at you with love eyes in those bonding moments.
Norman is very social with other cats and would make a great buddy for an older confident kitty. He would also be fine with a dog as he has been in care with a small cat-friendly dog and Norman is not bothered by her in the slightest.
Norman would be great for a single person or a couple with no children, who lead a quiet life. He responds well to calmness in people and in the home.
In his foster home Norman has had to compete for attention and he is not one to put himself forward. This means that if you can give him one-on-one time he will learn to trust you and let his guard down.
With the right person Norman will make a wonderful cat who will give you lots of love in his gentle way.
Norman has had all of his vet work done and is litter trained and not a fussy cat with his food. This means that he is quite a low maintenance kitty who wonât be demanding of your time but will appreciate you when want to relax with him on the lounge for a cuddle.
