About Logan
************** PLEASE APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ****************************
Logan is an affectionate 2-year-old sable German Shepherd who finds himself in need of a loving, patient home that can help him to come out of his shell.
Since coming into our care, Logan has been a little stressed, he is very confused as to why he is now homeless, and he has no idea what is next in store for him. Logan's new home will need to have plenty of patience and be understanding that he may take some time to settle in until he feels safe and loved.
Logan is suited to a breed experienced home that will work on setting boundaries whilst helping to build his confidence. Logan needs someone that will help him reach his full potential, his new owner needs to provide him with leadership and have the confidence to show Logan what is expected of him and give him clear direction.
Logan's ideal home will be one where everyone is over the age of 16 and where everyone is united in working with him to build his confidence, he will thrive in a stable environment where kindness and consistency is the initial focus. Logan is a sweet boy who loves to be with his people and would love a soft cosy bed inside after a busy day.
Logan has energy to burn and loves to play; daily exercise, mental stimulation and regular training sessions will ensure Logan is kept happy and healthy. Logan is a clever boy who is keen to learn more than the basic commands he has been taught, he is eager to please and will thrive with someone working one-on-one with him whether that be through general obedience or activities where he can use his mind such as tracking, agility or nose work.
Logan missed out on adequate socialisation as a puppy and as a result can be conflicted around other dogs, he is worried and is unsure how to behave around them. Whilst Logan is ok with dogs from a distance, if they get up close and, in his face, he uses his big bark to tell them to go away. For now, Logan will need to be the only dog in his new home and will need to continue to work on his reactivity and threshold around other dogs with his new family. Logan has not been tested with cats or small animals.
Once Logan trusts he is safe, he is the most affectionate, cuddly boy that loves nothing more than being by his human’s side. Logan has so much love to give to a family willing to win over his trust and share their life with him; with some patience, time and lots of dedication to his ongoing training, he will make an incredible best friend.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
