About Murphy ~ 3yr OldAustralianBulldog(On Trial 9/9/22)
Meet Murphy! A tan and white 3-year-old Australian Bulldog. Murphy loves being beside his humans and will never knock back a smooch and a cuddle from his foster carers!
Murphy loves to sit by the window and watch the world go by, has the occasional nap in between! This little Nugget loves his tucker and enjoys boiled chicken dinners with grain free bikkies.
Murphy has a chilled out, very sociable and loving temperament but can get anxious when left alone for long periods of time.
Murphy is learning how to come back to commands when let off his lead in a controlled environment, positively reinforced with treats and a fuss when he returns when called. Initially when we walked him, he would pull and is extremely strong. Regular walks with a harness we have found that this rarely occurs, and we try to make it a daily routine for him.
Murphy will require owners that are willing to continue to work with him and give him endless amounts of love and affection. Murphy is fully house trained and sleeps inside at the bottom of his carers bed and has been known to snore like a freight train!!
Murphy’s forever family will need to have an active lifestyle and understand that he will need exercise and mental stimulation. We are unaware if Murphy gets along with other dogs, so would need to do a meet and greet with any fur family members before adoption takes place. Murphy loves his humans so much he would need to be welcomed inside and be involved in her new family’s life; Murphy doesn’t mind where he goes as long as you are with him.
Murphy would benefit with someone that is home most of the time or works part time, as I feel that Murphy would not cope being in an environment where he was left alone for long periods of time (although he sleeps most of the day!) and a home with children over the age of 8 is needed so he is not annoyed when he is getting in his daily naps. Murphy’s new home will need good fencing with no small gaps, preferably where he can see outside of his yard.
