About Sampson
FOSTADOPTION- Samson ❤️
Sampson is a big boofy boy with a soft heart. He was living in a western Sydney suburb on the streets. He was once upon a time, someone’s pet, but sadly he wasn’t kept safe from harm. It was shortly past midnight on a Monday, and Sampson bravely fought off two dogs. A post was made on a local facebook group asking for help after the dog attack. He was taken to the emergency vet at 1am where he received awkward shavings, antibiotics, X Rays, pain relief and monitored. After a few days, he bounced from the vet to the shelter and bounced out of the shelter into the arms of rescue.
In foster care, Sampson has learned all the critically important cat skills:
Passive aggressively resting his chin on your forearm while you attempt to work. He’d make the best desk companion.
Head butting your mouse hand while you attempt to write important emails.
Walking nonchalantly across the keyboard, while adding in his own input to said important documents and emails.
Weaving his way around human’s legs.
Standing underfoot in the kitchen.
Spending time with other resident cats.
Visiting his human in the toilet, as humans need direct supervision.
Accepting Cheek and chin scritches.
Sampson LOVES his food. He’ll eat almost anything with great relish and gusto. He’s eating kitty ‘junk’ food as well as the more gourmet healthy offerings as well some raw meaty goodness (his fave!).
He’s settled in and loves sleeping on a bed. He enjoys gazing safely out a window and ensuring his home is protected from walkers, umbrellas, dogs, more walkers. You will certainly be safe with Sampson.
Due to his negative experience with dogs, Sampson is understandably dog- reactive. It is best (for the dog’s wellbeing, as well as Sampson’s, that he find a 100% indoor home with no dogs, and no likelihood of dogs). He’s a loving and solid lad who is looking for someone to love.
If you’d like to be part of Samson’s rescue and foster him with the option to keep him if he goes well in your home, please get in touch.
Medical notes
Sampson has been desexed, microchipped and is up to date with all vaccinations.
He is perfectly healthy at the moment although he is FIV positive.
