About Reuben
Reuben is a beautiful, affectionate and inquisitive young lad!
He absolutely adores time with his people, but is also more than happy to spend time entertaining himself if you are busy. Reuben is a loving, playful and friendly puppy, who loves spending time with his people and other dogs. He would love an older female doggy companion who can demonstrate good canine manners and show him the way.
Reuben has shown early signs of interacting well with cats, sensible kids and other dogs.
He sleeps through the night and has had no accidents inside recently. He is sleeping through the night and is currently sleeping in three to four hour chunks throughout the day followed by an hour or two of play and learning.
He enjoys playing in the rain, balls, bones, likimats, food toys and chewing things!
Reuben will be a medium-large sized, energetic and intelligent dog when finished growing. Right now he is smaller than a cat at about 6 kgs.
Reuben has worked hard in his early weeks to perfect crate training, and loves his safe space. He comes when called, sits and will follow a treat. He enjoys playing tug, fetch and working out how to get the treats off the humans. He needs people who will continue his training throughout his life and enjoy evolving him in their lives.
If you are committed to Reuben’s ongoing training, socialisation, and meeting his physical and mental stimulation needs, he will make you a wonderful companion.
Reuben is living with a cat, other dogs, a teenager and an elderly lady in a family home with attention to socialisation and developing his confidence. He is still learning that puppy teeth hurt the humans and what he can and can not chew.
We are looking to match his personality and needs as an adult with your lifestyle as much as possible, so please include details when you fill in the adoption questionnaire that will help us help you get the right companion.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Reuben is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He is in perfect health.
