About Mr Milo
Mr Milo is a small fluff like no other, he can be incredibly sweet and affectionate but it can take a minute to get to know this side of our beautiful boy. Milo has suffered some trauma in his time and because of this he comes with a bit of baggage (don't we all). He's not for the faint of heart or a first time dog owner and if you're looking for an easy little lap dog, scroll on because Milo is all those things but he's also a sensitive guy who needs someone pretty dedicated to working alongside him and help him let his guard down.
Milo has been in care for a while now and has truly blossomed, he loves to climb up into your arms when you are sitting on the couch for a cuddle and flop upside for a cuddle. He has a voice and likes to use it to get you attention and let you know what he wants and when he wants it but is quite settled when left alone, is housetrained and sleeps well at night. Milo's downfall is that he is a 'resource guarder' this means he does not like to share and gets highly concerned that his things will be taken from him, he can put on quite a show when defending his beloved food bowl or a random sock he's stolen from the laundry basket but whilst this can be a bit daunting to at first, it's a behaviour his foster carer finds manageable with some thought and a good barter system.
Out and about he struts around like a total dude, he can be quite social and loves a good explore. Milo's adopters will have full training support from Maggie's.
Like all Maggie's pets, Milo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.
MY IDEAL HOME: An experienced adult only home is a must, Milo is not suitable to a house with children. He needs a person/s that will understand he'll take a hot minute to warm up to a new home and who will invest in continued training and management.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Milo loves to party but as long as he gets a nice daily outing and a game or two, he's a happy camper.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Not suitable with children.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Milo currently lives in a multi-dog household, he gets on well with both big and small but prefers dogs his size to play with. He is cat friendly.

For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
