About Charles & Cooper
BFF’s Charlie and Cooper are a bonded pair of boys that will just melt your heart
They are a bonded pair of best friends that cannot be separated
Charlie (grey colouring) and Cooper (Tan Colouring) are Maltese x Shitz, both boys are around 4 years old. Each boy has great personalities yet very different in their own right. Both boys will have you in stitches with their little antics, and together their little personalities really shine. There is no way we could separate the two of them.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION EMAIL ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
The boys will come with harnesses and leads their bed
• Travelling in the car – Both travel extremely well in the car and look forward to car trips. You will need to have a seat belt clip to travel in the car.
• Food – Charlie and Cooper have a great appetite and are currently being fed a premium dry twice a day. They are happy to eat next to one another and show no signs of food aggressions towards each other. Cooper will dance for a treat if encouraged.
• Outside – These two love a good run outside and to play with toys. However, Charlie is the bossy one and if he hasn’t got the toy that Cooper is playing with, he will continuously bark until he gets it. Both boys aren’t keen on walking on wet grass. It is like they are trying to walk on their tip toes to have a little paw on wet grass (quite amusing to watch). Both boys like to chase birds that land in the backyard. While staying with us Charlie and Cooper have been able to go in and out whenever they wanted. The are definitely inside boys and we are seeking a home that will allow them to continue to be inside dogs only with outdoor access
• Visitors – Charlie and Cooper have been friendly with visitors. And only when someone has come home late do they bark. When we have come home during the day, we are treated with two adorable faces watching for us at the window.
• Independence – Charlie and Cooper have had constant human company while staying with us. However, on the odd days they were alone, there was some destruction of newspapers. They will play outside independently. They do much prefer a home where someone is home more often than not .
• Walks – lead experience. Charlie and Cooper are good walkers, though they do tend to get tangled in their leads. They do love to explore the area we are walking and have a good sniff around and mark every tree and post so walking can take time, if you go at their pace.
• Obedience - This pair for the most part is obedient and do what they are told. However, it does take a few commands for them to do as they are told. However, keep in mind they are still getting used to us and learning to trust us, after being in a loving home for the past four years.
• Inside - Charlie and Cooper are not destructive and are house trained. If they are bored, they will get up to mischief, nothing major just moving items around, ripping up newspapers.
Charlie loves to cuddle, anytime even if you pick him up and give him cuddles, he will snuggle in and stay. Cooper on the other hand does enjoy cuddles too but in his time. He is not keen to be picked up for cuddles and will try to get away as soon as he can. But when he is ready for cuddles, he will come and snuggle in.
• Temperament - Dog socialising, cat, small animals- While we don’t have any other pets in our house, we were told that Cooper is not good with other dogs. And when we have been walking, he does growl so we move out of the way. They have not been tested with cats and we dont feel they would work in a cat home
• Sleeping habits- Charlie and Cooper came to us with their own dog bed and blanket, we did set it up for them. They take it in turns to who sleeps in it, and whoever is not sleeping in the bed they have joined the family on their bed. One night I woke to find Charlie asleep on my pillow with his head on my head.
• Toilet training- Both Charlie and Cooper are housed trained. And we have not had any issues with them. While staying with us both Charlie and Cooper have been able to go in and out as they please.
