About Hugo
Despite his grumpy expression, Hugo is a charming and quirky cat who will make a devoted companion. He is intelligent and affectionate and would like to be an only cat in a small household of one or two people so he can bond closely with his human(s). He loves to be stroked and tickled and in particular loves being brushed, and will purr loudly during a brushing session. He also likes to be picked up and cuddled.
He is happy to spend the day chilling on his own, so would be ideal for a single person who is out all day at work, as long as he gets to spend some quality time with you in the evenings.
He has learnt to tolerate his foster carer's other cat, but was initially quite dominant so would be more at ease in a pet-free home.
Hugo has been desexed, wormed, and vaccinated, and has recently had a teeth cleaning at the vet.
Medical notes
Hugo is FIV+ so should be kept indoors at all times, unless you have a secure outdoor enclosure which will prevent him from coming into contact with other cats. Having FIV means that Hugo may have a weakened immune system and may be more susceptible to other infections. However, no special treatments are required unless symptoms appear, and most FIV+ cats live normal healthy lives. Forever Friends can point you to a number of resources about caring for cats with FIV.
Apart from the FIV diagnosis, Hugo is otherwise healthy, and has been desexed, wormed, and vaccinated, and has recently had a teeth cleaning at the vet.
