Hi! I'm Bear. I'm estimated as a 4-year-old border collie x, though foster mum thinks I'm more likely around 2 years-of-age.

I'm a loyal guy who would really love to be part of a family who live on a farm, property or who have secure fences! I don't like to be left alone for long periods therefore a family who are home most of the time is required or someone who can take me everywhere with them. I'm very affectionate and love people of all sizes.

I get on well with other dogs, although like all dogs I prefer a proper introduction. Once I know my playmate is as friendly as I am, there'll be wrestles and zoomies. If I am to be an only dog, my family will need to ensure I have lots of opportunity to socialise with other dogs in order to keep me happy and to help me to grow up to be a well grounded canine citizen.
I am definitely NOT suited to a home with cats.

I'm not a barker. I'm not house trained, but this will be started here in foster care using crate training. I know 'mat', 'sit', 'shake' and come when called...most of the time.
As a working breed, I will need a home that will continue my training and ensure I have the mental and physical exercise that my breed requires.
