About Sophie
Hi I’m Sophie, I am a gorgeous 2 year and nearly 4 month old Spoodle (English Cocker Spaniel and a Toy Poodle).
My foster mum says that I’m a bit needy, but I told her noooo I’m not a bit needy – I’m a whole lot of needy and I love love love to spend as much time with my humans as possible.
When I came into foster care I was so needy I used to sleep on my foster mum’s head I mean pillow – okay yeah it was her head – I just wanted to be super close but now I’m learning to sleep on the bed
My foster mum says I am a awesome cuddle buddy who once I relax and settle Im a loving love bug. She says that since I have come into care she has never needed to worry about being alone – I am happy to follow her where ever she goes – I am even happy to follow her to the toilet but she mumbles something about boundaries – I don’t know.
So my foster mum has said while you can go out and leave me alone for a few hours there would be no way in ‘H E DOUBLE hockey sticks’ you could leave me all day home alone 5 days a week – sooooooooo I’m putting my wish list forward – someone who either works from home and is happy for me to hang / snooze in your office while you work or someone who is home and can spend time with me or me spend time with you.
I am currently with a few fur siblings and i get on well with all of them, except one not going to lie I drive nuts!! I like to hump their leg – don’t ask me why I don’t do it the other 5 dogs here soooo my foster mum says thank goodness that meets and greets mean I met the other dogs before any adoption is finalised cause not every dog would appreciate it! In saying that though I would be very happy as an only child that just means all the laps and attention of the humans in the house is on meeeeeeeeeeee.
I’m good with all age kids cause often they give me attention
I do have the poodle coat so I do require regular grooming, I did come into care and the groomer was a bit energetic so you know what they say 6 weeks to recover from a bad haircut ……….. please let that be true!
I love going in the car with you but that’s well cause your there with me – I will be excited for a few minutes and then curl up on the seat and just chillax
I also love going for walks (not marathons but walks) and I’m picturing us doing coffee dates and grooming days.
I am very much an inside dog – snoozing on the couch and sleeping on my human’s bed and I would very much like this to continue.
My foster mum has mentioned something about I need to go to a home where I will be loved (of course) but one that will not make a fuss when they go out and will spend time working with me to be very confident that there is no reason to be anxious when you leave as you will always be back.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Thursday 25th August 2022 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
