Meet Indy, AKA Indiana Jones. This handsome little man is a confident energetic, little adventurer who loves nothing more than getting out every day to go exploring!

Like Indy the Archeologist, my little legs will spring into action as I bound head first into each and every adventure. I love running through the grass and if the grass is long, I love it even more as I get to jump like a bunny!

I love to learn about everything, so sniffing on my walks is a must. I like to say hello to other dogs (except big scary ones who I will avoid like a clever cookie adventurer does!), but I don't have time to hang out with the dog park crowd when there are so many new places to see and smells to sniff.

At home, I love playing with soft toys, on my own or with you depending on what takes my fancy on the day. I will throw my soft toys in the air over and over and will chase them wherever they land. This helps me keep in shape for adventuring!

Like the tough little dude I am, I love affection on my own terms. I'm quite partial to a chin scratch while you tell me how handsome I am, but reserve up-close affection for only those that I trust implicitly. Sometimes I panic a little when people try to groom me (the whole sitting still while someone comes at me with sharp objects thing is not my strongest skill!), so I need a little help learning that grooming can be enjoyable too!

My little quirks will make you laugh and smile: from throwing my toys so high that I lose sight of them entirely, to sitting on my two rear legs like a meerkat while you give me an ear scratch.

The team here at SCAR tell me that I need a home with no children but I can live as an only dog or with a sensible canine friend - I have no time for silliness between adventures!

We aim to make sure that you fully understand your new pet's needs prior to committing to taking them home, so you will chat with a member of our behaviour team before meeting Indy and be given a written summary of his specific needs. We also provide ongoing post-adoption support to help you and your new pet develop a great relationship!

All of our meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn, and all going well you will take home your pet on the day of the meet.
The majority of our animals are in a foster home, not at the shelter, so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you!
