About Penny
Hello there, Penny here. I'm a sweet shy little lady. I'm here with my buddy (Gypsy AID# 1340245). Sadly we have come into care after our owners have passed away. We were both were quite fearful on entry and have taken some time to bond with staff. We can be worried by close handling: will need a patient and understanding adopter who can learn to read our body language and understand when we may be feeling uncomfortable. However, once we bond we have started to show our playful side. I like to do little bunny hops and play bows around the office at the RSPCA. We are working on walking on the lead, and it's recommended starting to walk us around the yard and as our confidence builds walking in quiet low traffic areas. Crate training has been recommended for us to provide a safe space when we are feeling overwhelmed. I have responded well to this here at the RSPCA, snuggling up in the crate in my big fluffy bed. We're both a little picky with our food, so feeding us soft wet foods and roast chicken would be great! Our new adopters may need to try a few different yummy treats to find out what our favourite is. Please, no littlies in the house and we'll need to meet any other dogs you may have.
