About Layla
Hi! I’m Layla. I’m a 13-week-old border collie x breed.
I am looking for a home that understands my breed and can keep me both mentally and physically challenged. I'm a busy girl and need an active home that will include me in their everyday lives. I'd prefer a home with another dog. If I am to be an only dog, then I must have the opportunity to socialise daily with other dogs in order to keep me happy and to help me grow up to be a well grounded canine citizen.
I'm a sweet, but shy girl that loves to cuddle with my humans. I'd do best with older kids that can engage me and keep me busy. I love to herd and would love a home where I can do herding school or dog sports. I'd prefer a home where I can come inside and be part of the family.
My parents were working dogs. Mum a medium coat border collie and dad a smooth coat border collie mixed with something wire haired. I have inherited mums soft coat.
I'm currently in care with other dogs of various ages. I'm a happy girl and want to be friends with everyone. I'm learning to chase the ball; like to play with soft toys and I enjoy a good game of chasey & bitey face with my foster siblings.
I'm a very clever girl. I have only just begun my basic training. I can get a bit excited so am learning the "4-paws-on-the-floor" rule. I currently sleep outside in a kennel cuddled up with my sisters. Foster mum & dad don’t hear a peep out of me until the morning.
I need an active home who will commit to my ongoing training and socialisation with known friendly canines to help me continue to be the best girl I can be.
If you think I may be the perfect girl for you, send in your application form today! To details on how to apply, please scroll down to the adoption process box.
Love & licks,
Layla xx
