About Tilly
Personality: When I'm around those I know I'm a social butterfly. I will sit with you, snuggle in bed, have a little chat, and play with you for ages!
Snuggle scope: I enjoy snuggling up with a human in bed and will seek out plenty of scratches and massages. When I'm full of beans though I'll love it if you play with me, I love to chase fishing rod toys!
Cat scope: I love other cats!! I love my family and really need a kitty companion, preferably one of my foster siblings!
Dog scope: They’re ok I guess, if they’re friendly and calm. The cockers at our house are nice.
Child scope: Little humans are a bit scary! I’m sure I’ll get to like them though if they’re quiet and gentle with me.
Adoption Fee: Our usual fee is $200 for a young adult, but since Tilly is so bonded to her brother Forrest, the total adoption fee for both kitties is $350.
Ideal home: I would love a home where the person/s and animal/s are loving, friendly, attentive, and can ensure we are always kept safely indoors. Most importantly though, I love my family other cats so much that I would dearly love to stay with one my brother Forrest.
About:
Tilly and family (including mummy Florence) were born on a local farm where they spent most of their time in horse stables. Sadly, with the property being sold, this dear little family were considered a burden to the owner of the farm and faced a terrible fate if a rescue group didn’t step forward and take them in, so of course we couldn't say no!
Tilly's gorgeous koala-like smudge and sparkly green eyes gives her the cheeky look that perfectly matches her personality. She loves to run and play, rough and tumble with her siblings, and chase toys flying through the air. Although she may seem timid when you first meet her (for all of about 2sec), bring out the toys and you'll have her full attention! Once she's worn out she'll happily reward you with plenty of purrs and accept a good pat. She will snuggle with you in bed, and greet you when you wake in the morning with a happy little chirp that sounds a little like "I love you" (Though "come feed me" is probably a closer translation haha) :).
Since entering care at about 4 weeks of age, these babies have been socialised with young children, other cats, and a pair of older Cocker Spaniels and are thus quite well rounded. Despite being born in the open spaces of a farm, Tilly and her family have adapted incredibly well to indoor life. They are diligent users of the litter tray, and express no desire to be outside. I did try taking Tilly out on a harness once, but she did not like being outside one little bit and insisted on coming back inside almost immediately. As such, she is best suited to an indoor only home. As above, whilst Tilly might be a bit timid in a new environment, in a just a short time her lovely, happy little personality will shine through, especially with some fun fishing rod type toys and tasty treats to encourage her with. She is a real lover of affection so will be rolling around for smooches in no time.
Adoption details
Once you have read through our pets profiles the next step is to touch base to fill out a pre-adoption form before organising a time to have a meet and greet with Tilly. Please note that cats and kittens cannot go to their new homes on the day of meet and greet as an inspection of the new home is generally required. If the meet and greet is successful, the next step is to finalise/confirm the adoption application, then make arrangements for the inspection. Typically this can occur at same time as delivery of your new baby.
