About Cairo
Snuggle scope: I do love a bit of lap time and snuggling up with a human in bed. I also enjoy company and a relaxing massage when I’m tired and will happily accept a quick cuddle.
Cat scope: I love other cats!! I love my family and really need a kitty companion, preferably one of my foster siblings!
Dog scope: They’re ok I guess, if they’re friendly and calm. The cockers at our house are nice.
Child scope: Little humans are a bit scary! I’m sure I’ll get to like them though if they’re quiet and gentle with me.
Ideal home: I would love a home where the person/s and animal/s are loving, friendly, attentive, and can ensure we are always kept safely indoors. This is especially important because I am so fair that I will burn easily from the sun. Most importantly though, I love my family other cats so much that I would dearly love to stay with one my siblings, or at least have a new furbrother or sister I can become best friends with.
NOTE: Cairo's Foster Carer offers discounts for dual adoptions!
About:
Cairo and family (including mummy Penny) were born on a local farm where they spent most of their time in horse stables. Sadly, with the property being sold, this dear little family were considered a burden to the owner of the farm and faced a terrible fate if a rescue group didn’t step forward and take them in, so of course we couldn't say no!
At first glance it is obvious that Cairo's exotic looks, with those handsome red points, is owing to pedigree heritage. Whilst Mumma Penny is a calico DMH, his Daddy, a pet cat on the farm, is supposedly a Ragdoll, though as he is also short-haired. I suspect he is either a Ragdoll or more likely Siamese, mix.
Since entering care at about 4 weeks of age, these babies have been socialised with young children, other cats, and a pair of older Cocker Spaniels and are thus quite well rounded. Whilst Cairo is a bit shy on first meeting new people, I’m sure that in a just a short time his lovely, happy little personality will shine through, especially with some fun fishing rod type toys to encourage him with.
Due to his extremely fair complexion, this little guy needs to be kept strictly indoors as he is highly susceptible to sunburn and even eye damage from excess sun exposure. Being the energetic, playful little acrobat he is, Cairo will be happily entertained and fulfilled with plenty of toys, a tall scratching post, and the odd pot of cat- grass or the like, without the need to explore the “big wide world”. Outdoor enclosures that are completely shaded are acceptable though as well.
