About Nimue ( Was Numbat )
Numbat is a large breed puppy looking for her new family! Could it be with you?
This sociable girl has been spending her time growing and learning in foster care with us. Numbat has no fear and leaps into new situations with enthusiasm.
She's been sharing her home with 2 other large breed dogs and would benefit from living with a sociable male dog in her new home. Having a dog around provides her with a sense of comfort and security. It also helps with her boundless amount of energy and she loves playing chasey or tug or war with her fur siblings.
She's still learning her social cues from other dogs and will need someone to manage her while she's figuring out that dogs need space and time to rest too!
Numbat's toilet training is going really well, she does have a few accidents here and there but she's already learning to ask to go outside by hanging by the back door.
Numbat is crate trained and will sleep in her crate happily overnight. She's fed in her crate to help her feel that it's a great place to be!
She's a snuggly girl in the evening and loves to sit by the fire with her foster family. She's sassy and not easily deterred when she wants something but using reward based training has helped her learn some impulse control which will need to be continued.
Numbat's adoption fee included 5 weeks of puppy school here at SCAR as well as a bag of the food she's been eating in care.
Numbat is still waiting to be desexed next week so any potential adopters will need to wait for this surgery to be complete before adopting.

On the Pet Rescue profile, push the "Enquire About This Pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please tell us all about you and your home. The information you provide helps us to start a conversation with potential adopters, and find a great match for pets in our care. Please note the following: We do not take applications for animals over the phone, as we are a small team and are trying our best to be fair to all applicants while creating the best outcomes for our animals. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days, and will confirm with all applicants once we have an adoption meet booked for the animal. All of our meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn, and all going well you will take home your pet on the day of the meet. The majority of our animals are in a foster home, not at the shelter, so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you! www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ... because they all deserve one!
