About Boof 34508 Campbelltown ACF
Affectionate, loving boy
Experienced owner needed
Only dog household
Approx. 35kgs
Boof is a beautiful large boy who came in with his sister Piper (#34509). Piper seems to be settling in as best as possible, Boof has taken a little longer than expected.
Boof new home would ideally be with owners who have had previous experience with bull breeds or those with anxiety, as there may be challenges at the beginning of his new home life. He requires a structured routine, and would be a great candidate for crate training.
He adores going for a walk and doing zoomies when he gets excited. He walks quite well on the lead, and knows his name. He is very affectionate and loving, he enjoys rolling over for a belly rub. A small or medium yard with secure fencing is ideal for Boof.
As he loves people so much and can get over-excited, there are times where he jumps up, but he is working on this behaviour here with his carers. For this reason, he would be best suited to a household with children who are 12 years or older. Boof loves toys, but has previously been slightly possessive over them, so a home that understand this and is willing to work with the behaviour is preferred. Boof isn’t overly active but due to his current weight he would benefit from daily exercise.
Though he’s lived with other dogs before, we recommend he be a single dog while he is settling into a new home. Boof would love to be able to come inside and be with his humans when they’re home, and would prefer not to be left alone for extended periods of time.
If you have the time and space to put in to a wonderful and misunderstood boy such as Boof, please complete an Expression of Interest below.
