About Cricket
Hi I’m Cricket and I am a 14 month old Jack Russell Terrier x
I am just a small little man weighing 9.8kgs!
My foster family have said that I’m an awesome cuddle buddy who is happy to chill when it’s quiet time and I love to play when it’s play time!
My foster mum mentions something about me being like glue – apparently where ever she is – I am, either following her around doing the housework, sitting down next to you while you’re reading or watching some tv and he will happily put his paw up always to ask for a pat.
Cricket came into care not really sure of playing with toys but does love having foster siblings that he can run around with and chase while doing zoomies.
Cricket also loves to snuggle with his foster siblings when it’s chillax time.
Cricket is crate trained but does love to sleep on your bed thru the day and even more so if he gets to go under the doona.
I enjoy going for a walk and my foster mum said I’m good on the lead.
I would not be a huge fan of being left alone for 8 hours a day so I’m ideally looking for a home where there is someone home to hang with either while they work or a stay home parent etc.
I would also very much benefit from having a foster sibling to play with. If left alone for long periods of time I have been known to be the victim of an exploding pillow or two (oops)
My foster siblings are a similar size to me, I get along well with all of them for the most part, however I have been known to get very excited and want to play when they don’t – they are all pretty laid back so I would love a friend who wants to play with me.
I am not tested with cats (my mum asked the neighbors if we could try but they said no) so it could honestly go either way.
Kids – I currently live with two young ones and I love to play with them, I do forget from time to time they are only little and have been known to jump up on them when really excited but for the most part my foster mum says I’m very good with them.
My foster mum says that I can sometimes chat away to her sometimes and you can tell this cause I have a real tail wag and a smile on my face, sometimes it can be a small growl or a bark but it’s just my way of communicating.
I am house trained and can use a doggy door.
I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.
All I’m really looking for is a family that wants me as much as I will want them.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
