About Zeus & Venus
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A grassed yard for zoomies
- Suitable for full-time or part-time workers
Venus (Brindle female) and Zeus (Black male) are a bonded pair and enjoy one another's company more than anything, and for this reason can be left home alone happily for extended periods of time. Having been pets for two years, they will easily transition into a loving home. Don't they both look ADORABLE together? Can't you just picture them in your home?
They are both good on lead and hence easy to walk together. They respond well to commands and can comfortably walk for about up to 30 minutes. Both Venus and Zeus are relatively sedate greyhounds, but of course they get excited when you return home and will welcome you with a wagging tail. Generally when they are home, they are more than happy just to nap on the couch. They are both very affectionate, Venus has a tendency to jump into your lap and tap her paw on you to initiate cuddles whereas Zeus makes an adorable little whistle sound when he is after some love.
Zeus is enthusiastic to meet new people, while Venus can initially be shy but within minutes will be begging for attention. They are both good around children and have enjoyed many pats off children in the past while going on a walk in the park. But they have never lived with young children and are therefore probably best suited to adult companions/ teens. They can be slightly anxious around dogs they are not familiar with, this is not to be confused with aggression as usually it takes a couple of minutes of sniffing for them to become comfortable with a new companion.
They both love toys and are known to enjoy zoomies, especially in a yard when feeling playful. They can both happily jump into a car unassisted and enjoy long car rides, they love the back windows rolled down a little so they can sit their snoot out into the fresh air. They are both used to walking in inner city heavy traffic locations, surrounded by people, cars and trams.
