About Louis
Hello potential new family!
My name is Louis and I am adorable British Bulldog, although you could easily mistake me for a little love machine!
My foster mum says I am a little love bug who just loves to be around my humans – I do still respect your personal space but I just love to be near you – you know 2 millimeters away when we are on the couch! – I’m happy with chillaxing with you while you watch tv, read a book, do your housework – I will just keep you company but not be annoying or jump all over you.
My favorite thing in life is loving my humans, getting pats and cuddles and giving them. OMG the head and neck rubs – sign me up for them each day please!! I will even show you my tummy if I get head rubs – oh yeah, that I could enjoy all day.
I currently live with a small kid and can I just say I love her – we play tea parties and dress up together and I keep her company while she colors in. I am also known to have a nap on her bed with her from time to time.
I don’t think I’ve found a piece of food I’m not a fan of – but come on I am a bulldog so you know the saying a little on the lips a lifetime on the hips!
My foster mum says I'm a delight to have and one of the kindest sweetest natures she has even seen.
I love going for my daily walks (weather permitting) a slow 20 minute walk works for best for me and then home for a snooze.
I do enjoy having a good sleep on a humans’ bed, my bed or the couch but be warned my snoring can be epic sometimes oh yeah and sometimes my farts – hee hee). I am not a huge fan of being woken up unexpectedly so my foster mum says it’s just best to leave me to wake up by myself as I can be grumpy for a few minutes sometimes.
I am good with other dogs and currently living with an American Staffy – we get along fine but like a typical bulldog I do need a slow introduction to another dog. I would happily be an only child (more cuddles for me hey!) but would also live with another dog no issues.
I am happy to ride shot gun (okay yeah I know back seat only) in the car with you - I will keep you company for hours while you drive, however I do need help getting in especially if you have a car that is not low to the ground – it’s just one small oomph up and I’m all good to go.
I am fully house trained, leave your belongings alone and don’t keep the neighbors up barking, I guess you could say I’m pretty chilled.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Wednesday 17th August 2022 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
