About Chester
MEET CHESTER!
Chester has come from a terrible life, where he was born in the wild and lived as a stray in a large cat colony until he was finally trapped (alongside his siblings!) and rehabilitated at approximately 1 year old. Chester has been in rescue for over a year now and we estimate him to be 3 years young. Though he was born wild and never experienced human love, Chester has come a REALLY long way in his rehabilitation and has found companionship, love and confidence.
Despite his sad face (he always looks sad!) Chester is now a happy, confident fella and usually the first to greet you! Chester is a massive smooch! He is a very funny kitty, quirky and loves to play, check out the video of him on his cat tower, being the silly boy he is!
Chester will warm up to you if you spend time with him being quiet, offering treats and gentle pats, and soon he will be climbing into your lap for a cuddle. He likes to have a chat and has the sweetest little meow.
Chester gets along fantastically with other cats and would do best in a home with another cat or multiple other cats to bond with! He has no experience with indoor dogs.
Chester is being socialised with little kids and strangers currently and is enjoying pats from a 3 year old girl, as long as she approaches him quietly, so he will be fine with kids that understand he needs some quiet and patience to start with. Chester will be a wonderful companion for any home.
*Chester is now an INDOOR ONLY CAT for life (they would enjoy access to an outdoor enclosure though not necessary)
*Chester comes with a 2 week in home trial to ensure his new home is the purrfect match, this trial can be extended to 4 weeks where necessary.
*If you would like to organise a video chat meet & greet, please dont hesitate to enquire today!
Medical notes
Desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatment. Chester was FIV tested (as are all our wild born cats) and is FIV negative.

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
