About wombat and Possum
This bonded pair were hand raised from 2 1/2 weeks of age. They adore each other and are very human oriented. They sleep with their foster carer and have been raised in busy homes with dogs and other pets.
Wombat had tests done at our vet because she was always smaller than Possum, and it was discovered she has large kidneys. While her renal function is normal it is not known what that might mean for her future. Our vet has advised that she be fed on a renal diet. This pair is adoptable to only a special home that will continue Wombats diet and understand her needs.
Medical notes
Ultrasound report and blood tests for Wombat will be forwarded to your vet
Adoption details
We ask people to complete an online application on our website, and then we will be in touch to arrange a meeting with the kitten in their foster home. We are quite selective with homes due to the particular needs of hand raised kittens and if we feel your home would be better suited to a kitten raised by a mum cat who is more independent and learned to avoid dangers we would certainly recommend other Tasmanian shelters.
