About Mars
Hi, my foster mum calls me Mars and I'm always dodging smooches and cuddles but still cute. My red foster sis does that too. I'm five months old and I'm a stumpy tail Australian Cattle Dog - all natural, that's how we are. My brothers and I somehow ended up in the pound, got busted out by some nice rescue ladies and now we are all looking for new homes.
I'd like some country living with another dog for company (maybe one of my brothers), a few acres to roam and a job or ten to keep me learning and busy. My future people should have had experience with cattle dogs before and we are certainly not the type of dogs for apartments, small back yards or new dog owners. I am a very good alerting guard dog, I help my foster sisters out all the time letting foster mum know when somethings happening in our neighbourhood. I love playing and chasing my brothers, having a wrestle and getting lots of cuddles and good boys.
I'm the biggest of three brothers and even though I'm a stumpy tail cattle dog, I 've got a full tail - go figure. I'm pretty typical of a red, know my own mind and mind my own business. Foster mum keeps telling me the reds are the ones that bust your chops and break your heart the most.
Foster mum has only just started our training so you will need to be committed to continuing that. I would like to go to obedience training so you will need to have enough time for regular training and homework training. If we cattle dogs don't get set right from the start, foster mum says we turn into little devils.
I'm just a puppy with a whole life ahead, do you want to share it with me?
Fill out the adoption questionnaire and foster mum will have a chat with you about me.
