About Dina
************** PLEASE APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ****************************
Dina is 12 months old and finds herself desperately searching for her forever home. Dina is currently staying with our friends at RSPCA Victoria, however she is not having much fun in the shelter and needs our help to find her the perfect forever family.
Dina is a bouncy, cheeky little girl, she does things Dina paced which is as fast as she can! Dina zooms all over the place and loves to play and run around like a goofball. Dina is still young and is lacking in manners and impulse control, she jumps up for attention and although she knows how to sit, her wiggly bum never sits still for too long. Dina needs someone experienced that has the time and patience to teach her how to focus and work on her manners, she is not suited to a first time dog owner, and needs a home where everyone has experience with large bouncy dogs and are over the age of 12 years old.
Dina hasn’t had a lot of interaction with the outside world, as a result she is confused how to say hello and will let out a nervous bark when faced with something new. Dina has not been trained to walk nicely on a lead and will dart around in excitement at everything going on around her. Dina would benefit from attending group obedience classes to work on her exposure and socialisation so that she can learn to walk nicely on lead.
Dina is a little conflicted with other dogs, there are some dogs she is very unsure of and will bark at them to voice this. Dina has lived with a male shepherd previously and has proven that with slow introductions she gets along well with friendly large-breed dogs and is keen to play with them. Dina would love to have an older brother in her new home, a large-breed male companion that can help show Dina the ropes would be a good role model for her.
Dina has not been tested with cats or other small pets.
Dina loves giving lots of kisses to those she trusts, Dina is very much a German Shadow and forms a strong bond with her humans. Ideally Dina would have someone home with her more often than not, she needs to be allowed inside and included as part of the family. Dina’s new home needs to have tall, secure fencing.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
