About Chester
Meet Chester 💜
Chester is an 18 month old, deaf Staffy X, affectionately known as Chester the Jester 🤡 by his foster family because he is always being goofy and making them laugh.
Chester is now available for adoption and is looking for a special family that will embrace his quirky and goofy nature.
Do you enjoy complete calm and sitting down doing absolutely nothing in your spare time? No? Then Chester sounds like he could be the boy for you. This boy gives the energiser bunny a run for his money. Do you love sleeping in a ball on the edge of the bed with a snoring doggy big spoon to keep you warm? Yes? Perfect. Not only will he keep you warm all night long, he is your very own alarm clock. 🤣
This boy is a typical stubborn teenager and whilst he understands what he is being signed to do, he sometimes says "no thanks" He can sit, stay, come and go in a direction pointed but definitely isn't keen on dropping. Being an energetic boy it’s important for him to learn the art of being calm. Chester’s new family will need to be committed to his ongoing training to ensure he matures into a calm well-mannered dog.
Chester loves animals (including dog savy cats) and humans of all shapes and sizes.
Chester is excited to see and meet everyone and let’s not mention taking a ride in the car. He loves a good road trip, head out the window, and the wind in his face and him singing the song of his humans…off key of course.
Chester would really benefit from having a resident older calmer dog of similar or larger size. One that is happy to play Chesters favourite game – tug-o-war but to also how him show him how to behave and to keep him company if you go out. 💜
His new family would ideally be people who are active and want to take their doggo everywhere with them. He simply loves his humans and doesn't want to be away from them for a second.
Kids? Yes, but he sometimes doesn't know his size or strength so perhaps big kids only while he's learning how to use his manners all the time.
We feel that Chester really needs to meet his future family in person so unfortunately he won’t be available for interstate adoption just VIC only (unless you are happy to travel to meet him!).
Last Word From His Foster Carer 💜
He has the biggest heart and just loves to play. He's such a cheeky boy with the biggest personality. Whoever lands this boy are going to be so lucky to have such a loving and happy addition to their family.
Medical notes
Chester is deaf.
Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
