About Ralph
Ralph or “Ralphy” is a petite, cute boy that needs a home where he will be shown lots of love to build his confidence.
A mix of Japanese Spitz & Kelpie, he is just a small sized package that has a desire to be as close as possible to you.
He came to us with a habit of putting his front feet up on you to get attention, but in a short time he now knows to keep all feet on the floor for a pat & cuddle.
He just wants to please you & get affection back.
He was treated terribly at his previous home, ignored & left outside alone for most of his life. He was not allowed to play with the children as he was too needy.
He shows signs of being physically mistreated instead of trained.
He wasn’t desexed so his manner will calm even more now.
He has been living in a foster home, sleeps through the night, uses the doggy door, travels well in the car, is good on lead & off, responds to his name for recall. He rarely leaves you even when off lead.
Ralph gets on with all dogs, currently living with 8 big & small dogs… but due to only recently being desexed, he is still a little reactive to other males that are not desexed, by barking and being in their face.
This is quite natural and will settle over the next 2-3 months.
He is fine to leave inside the home when you go out, not destructive or barking, but leaving him for long periods will not be ideal.
He needs a playmate to grow with, better if female but ok if male & their meet goes well.
Ralphy would be best suited to a home that will allow him time to gain confidence, who will also continue to help him understand how best to get what he wants by following your commands.
Nobody has taken time to help him understand previously, but he is very responsive to new behaviours.
We can give you guidelines on these techniques.
Adoption details
**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Due to an anticipated high volume of applications the adoption process is outlined below:
1. You must complete our Adoption Application Form by following the link to our website: https://www.all4pawsdogrescue.com.au/forms.html NOT THE PET RESCUE ENQUIRY BUTTON
2. Include as much information as possible and it is never a case of "first in best dressed" when we are choosing the most appropriate new home. Matching an animal with a family is based on lifestyle, family members, attitudes to pet ownership and the personality of the pet.
3. Due to the number of applications we receive all correspondence is through email and if your application is short listed we will either call you to discuss it further and possible invite you to a meet and greet.
