Winter is our beautiful new princess in the rescue. At around 13 weeks she is already full of sass and confidence. Her teeth at the moment while sharp and a little bit mean she has a sweet and loving personality that is starting to shine through.
Winter is super special and crazy smart and looking for a very special home to suit her special needs. You see our lady Winter is deaf, but it doesn’t slow her down at all. With a sharp mind and eager to please she is learning at a fast speed. She already knows the signals for sit, stay and come with the sky the limit for a dedicated home willing to teach her all the tricks. She is slowly learning her toileting and getting better every day and has no problems with the dog door.
She follows the lead of the bigger dogs around her and would ideally suit a home with another dog to burn off her energy with during the day or someone home regularly to keep her entertained. She has a very curious and inquisitive nature and will happily go exploring, climbing and finding herself all the little things and places you try to hide from her.
Being a pup still she can find herself in trouble sneaking off with shoes, headphones, toilet paper rolls and chewing on cables you really don’t want her to. It’s not her fault, she is just a baby after all but definitely one to keep an eye on!
If you are interested in meeting Winter please note that she is looking for that extra special home.
Adopting a deaf dog with no experience needs a dedicated and special commitment to continue training and learn the necessary tips and tricks. They are no different than any other dog, and just require a patient understanding home. Initally you will have a slight learning curve, but at the end of the day once everyone has settled in you won’t personally notice any difference and they will love you regardlesss!

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
